Ms. Anneke Wills

Ms. Wills is an accomplished actress, award winning painter and professional designer of homes and gardens worldwide. Her career as an actress began at the age of 11 with a cinema debut, then in the 1960's, a regular role in BBC TV's 'Doctor Who' alongside William Hartnel and Partick Troughton. She later starred opposite Anthony Quayle in 'The Strange Report'.

After a period of studying Eastern mystics and psychology in India, illustration and cookery work in Belgian and Italian communities followed, before emigrating to California, designing English gardens.

Ms. Wills relocated to Canada to run her own interior design company on Homby Island, British Columbia, whilst also directing plays for the local theatre trust. Her own gallery was opened in Vancouver in the 1990's.

Returning to England in May 1998, Ms. Wills travelled the length of the countryside painting gardens and interiors. Paintings of her travels in India, Italy, Canada and England, specifically Dorset, Wiltshire and Norfolk have been displayed at Lauderdale House, London, and appeared in a group show at the Four Seasons, Wimbourne, in May 1999 and many galleries throughout the West Country.

As recently as Christmas 1998, she appeared on the Clive James Show to reminisce about 'Doctor Who'. She continues to make many personal appearances at 'Doctor Who' conventions in England and America.

We are honoured to have her as an Honorary Member.
