The Landing Party is a science fiction \ science fantasy fan club run by students (and former students) at the University of Paisley, Scotland in the United Kingdom. We meet at 18:00 hrs (6:00 pm) GMT/BST in room Room B010 in Paisley Campus of the University. Most weeks though we are to be found at the bottom of the Buroo (The Student's Union).
The club is run under the auspices of University of Paisley Student's Association - Association of Clubs and Societies, the university body elected annually by the students. This is a seperate body unconnected with the main university and dedicated to student affairs.
We currently have 4 honorary members: Ms. Roseanna Cunningham MSP, Mr. John De Lancie, Ms. Anneke Wills, and Mr. Michael Sheard.

The club is a non-profit, charity fund-raising organisation and has so far raised thousands of pounds for charity since it's formation four years ago. We decide upon the charity to support annually.
The Committee for session 1999 - 2000 are:
Student Committee:
Responsible for all official relations between the University of Paisley Student's Association - Association of Clubs and Societies and The Landing Party.
These members are all matriculated students of the University and are elected by the full committee annually.

Ex-Officio Committee:
Responsible to the membership of the group. Oversees and provides
assistance (where needed) to the Student Committee.
These positions are filled by long-standing members or members who have been involved in previous
Student Committee positions. Other (long-standing) members may be co-opted into other special
Ex-Officio positions as required. A member is invited to take up such a position after a vote
by the full committee.
